Monica’s Commitments

 

I, Monica, take you, Richard, to be my wedded husband.  

I will love you with all of my heart all the days of my life.  

I promise to walk continually in the fear of the Lord and will continually seek His will through His Word.  

I will willingly yield to your authority in all things and will be submissive to you as to the Lord.  

I will be open to your correction and will seek forgiveness and grant forgiveness.  

I will determine to teach our children the ways of the Lord, if He should give them as gifts to us, and I will support you as we train them to live godly lives.  

I will wholeheartedly and joyfully support you in your decisions.  

I will seek to honor you and bless you in all I do and say.  

I will devote myself to pray for you and will pray with you.  

I will seek first the kingdom of God, the Word of God, and the ways of God.  

I will work to create an atmosphere in the home that is pleasant and one that will encourage you to be the spiritual leader.  

I will take the time to listen to your heart and encourage you and build you up in every way I can.  

I promise to love and cherish you, and will not withhold my love from you.  

I will do you good and not evil all the days of my life.  

I will make you my earthly priority in my life, above all other people and things on this earth.  

These are my commitments to you, my Richard.  This is my sincere desire and goal, with the help and blessing of God.
